Dr. Gilberto Debelian Oslo, Norway
About the Speaker
Dr. Gilberto Debelian received his DMD from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 1987. He then completed his specialization in endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Philadelphia, U.S., in 1991, where he received the Louis Grossman Award for postgraduate study in endodontics. He concluded his Ph.D. studies at the University of Oslo, Norway, in 1997 in endodontic microbiology and received awards from both the European Society of Endodontology and the Norwegian Dental Association in 1997. Dr. Debelian has authored four chapters in endodontic textbooks, written one book on endodontics, and published more than 60 scientific and clinical papers.
Dr. Debelian taught as a clinical instructor and associate professor in the postdoctoral endodontic program at the Section of Endodontics at the University of Oslo from 1991 to 2001, returning to teach once more from 2006 to 2010. Currently, he is an adjunct visiting professor in the postgraduate program in endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he maintains a private specialist endodontic practice in Bekkestua, Norway.

Hands - on training on 3 - D models-microinvasive cavity preparation.
Glide path management with manual and rotary NiTi files.
Glide path and scouting on 3 - D Models, direct microscopic visualization.
Microscopic training on canal instrumentation using NiTi rotary files (3 - D files and technology), direct microscopic visualization.
Irrigation protocol; use of ultrasonication and 3 - D NiTi files as adjuncts for root canal irrigation.
